A small, direct practice
About Calvin Consulting
Calvin Consulting is a two-person consultancy studying artificial minds and the human practices that form around them.
The people who study the work write the report.
Both consultants work directly on each engagement. There is no account layer, junior delivery team, or handoff between observation and interpretation.
Our size keeps the work close to its evidence: what people actually say, what the artificial mind does in response, how the result is judged, and what the team has learned to repair or avoid.
Technical problems become psychological when meaning begins to govern the result.
Our approach brings together software practice, systems thinking, psychological interpretation, philology, political thought, and sustained work with language models and autonomous agents.
We examine meaning, diction, complexes, subject-position, policy, power, hegemony, perspective, and the relation formed between human and artificial cognition.
Theoretical language earns its place only when it helps a team perceive and change something in practice.
We do not believe every organization should use more AI.
We believe organizations that use AI should understand the mind-process they are creating: what it enables, what it suppresses, whose judgments it carries, and whether it serves the work.
This makes us a poor fit for indiscriminate automation and a good fit for clients willing to examine their own assumptions alongside the system’s behavior.
Work with us
Bring an actual practice, not a transformation slogan.
The strongest diagnostic questions begin with real work: what people ask, what the system does, what disappoints them, and what they have learned to compensate for.
